We always want more
If there is a saying that seems timeless and infinitely valid, it is that the more wealth we have, the more we want. In other words, the richer we get, the more we desire more wealth.
I certainly do not doubt these words. Because in my long life, I have found it to be true. When I was a kid, I could earn an occasional allowance by doing chores. Washing dishes = 1 crown reward, as did taking out the trash and vacuuming. And how happy I was with that money. How rich I felt every time I asked my parents to exchange a handful of coins, even if it was a 10-crown bill, for a bank bill, a symbol of wealth. And sometimes, when I found a dropped nickel or dime on the street, I would pick it up without scorn.
But then this money was not enough. And in order to get richer, I used to collect scrap iron with like-minded friends and haul it to scrap metal collectors. It was a lot of sweat, but at 50 pennies per kilo of scrap metal, our wealth was very satisfactory.
On my first job, I felt like I was in paradise. For example, to get $900 a month, including bonuses, and even $1,300 a month, that was a lot of money. It was worth every shovelful. As my financial power grew,
Then came extra income while studying at college, and market wages, and my life got better and better. I was still rich enough, I thought. However, I still did not feel rich enough. No matter how much I earned, it was always used for spending, and there was not much left over for me. So I wanted to earn more and more. Just like you. And today I have as much money as I once had, but I still want to be better off financially. That is why I will not vote for a populist like Mr. Babish. It may seem that no one has done more good for us than Mr. Babish, but that is just an illusion. Big money is not necessarily big money. You can see this if you compare the economic situation when I was young with that of today. What I could get for my money then, I cannot get for the same amount now. And neither will you.
So do not hesitate to ask for more and more goods. But only from those who will not impoverish you at the same time by continuing to increase their goods.
