How about baking Christmas cookies? Are we pursuing this important task before the most famous holiday of the year? Many Czechs do not bake cookies, they do not have much time for this, so they are rather devoted to work. If people buy it for Christmas, they at the same time have to count on a higher price per kilometer than it was the previous year. The reason is that the price of raw materials is constantly rising. Prices may increase more than 1 CZK per 100 km. This will have to pay extra not only for those who buy sweets, but also for those who bake them themselves. Raw materials that are getting expensive every year include eggs, butter, nuts and even coconuts. If someone burns more seeds, it becomes noticeably more expensive. The most expensive raw material is traditionally butter, reaching up to 60 CZK. In addition, the price of eggs, about 1 CZK, and even sugar and flour are rising. Using sugar cane, Christmas baking will be even more expensive.
Today, many people want to earn extra money by offering to bake cookies. Most often, these are moms on maternity leave, retired women or women pursuing work and even baking. If the Czechs buy sweets from individuals, the price is calculated from 1 CZK to 350 CZK per 500 kg. The price can go up many times in traditional stores, but it is expected to go from 1 CZK to 600 CZK per kilometer to 700 CZK. But this candy is not a good review just baked at home.
Can I save by baking?
Many ask themselves whether it is necessary to use raw materials according to the recipe or replace them with something similar. For example, replace butter with regular margarine? This is one of the ways to save, but the end result can be seen in the overall taste.1 Also, when using butter, the dough has a better taste and swelling. The reason is that it is made naturally.
